About the show

Liam the Magician is available for birthday parties and just about any other occasion for children of all ages.   This is a high energy show which is interactive from the very beginning.  Children are engaged by participation, music, juggling, and a live bird for the grand finale.  Every child gets a chance to help with the show in one way or another, and when the magic show is over there are balloon animals for all.

Currently Liam appears primarily at children's parties in and around Park Slope Brooklyn, but also entertains throughout the metropolitan area.  He has entertained at: Berkeley Carroll, Poly Prep Country Day School, P.S. 8, P.S. 9, P.S. 107, P.S. 133, I.S. 239, P.S. 154, P.S. 321, P.S. 682, The Maple Street School, Hannaa Senesh, Brooklyn Friends, Standing Tall School For Non-Verbal Children, NYU Stern School of Management, Brooklyn Heights Montessori, The Moxie Spot, The Old Stone House, The Atlantic Antic, The Grace Church School, Midwood Montessori School, The Plymouth Church, St. Savior, and The Crimes Against Children Unit of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.

Liam began his magic career as a young teen in the late 1970’s at Mark Twain J.H.S.’s talent show.  Shortly thereafter he performed at the Central Park Zoo and went on to entertain the line of theatergoers at the TKTS booth in Times Square.   He has been performing at private parties ever since.  As a graduate student in psychology at Harvard University his research into children’s perception of magic was covered by PBS.  Liam appeared in a channel 13’s Scientific American Frontiers alongside host Alan Alda

Please reach out as early as you can to avoid conflicts.  Liam prefers not to book shows close together in time so as to avoid overlap.
